Atomo, the Seattle-based innovative coffee maker, is proud to announce the opening of a new roastery in its hometown in honor of Earth Day.
This new 33,547 square-foot facility located south of downtown Seattle is a significant milestone for the 5-year-old startup, capable of producing an impressive 90 million cups of coffee annually.
Co-founder and CEO Andy Kleitsch expressed his excitement about the new roastery, stating, “This factory really is a breakthrough for us.
We’re going to satisfy every delivery method of coffee — espresso, drip, ready to drink, and pods.”
The first product to be launched from the new facility will be the espresso grounds, specifically formulated for professional espresso machines.
Kleitsch emphasized the importance of offering a top-notch customer experience, particularly in cafes, by having baristas create exquisite coffee drinks using Atomo’s products.
Starting this August, Atomo will be partnering with Bluestone Lane and various independent coffee shops in major cities like Boston, New York, Los Angeles, Chicago, and Austin.
In Seattle, Atomo’s drinks will be available at Heard Coffee on South Jackson Street.
Atomo has made a name for itself in the coffee industry by introducing a revolutionary approach.
By utilizing a molecular concoction derived from sustainable, upcycled plant waste ingredients, Atomo aims to reduce carbon emissions and farmland usage drastically compared to traditional coffee production methods.
Through strategic partnerships and a recent infusion of funding from Suntory, Atomo is poised for further growth and influence.
By prioritizing scalability and sustainability, the company is determined to make a positive impact on coffee-growing regions worldwide while offering a greener alternative to conventional coffee.
By refocusing its efforts on the production of innovative coffee grounds in a larger roastery, Atomo is set to reach a wider audience.
With a team of nearly 40 employees spanning various departments, Atomo has received substantial backing from key investors, highlighting the industry’s confidence in its mission and approach.
